A homeless dog is persuaded to adopt a little kitten, that has lost her mother

A bond between a cat and a dog that were all alone

The cat named Junior and the dog named Amira met and the cat decided she wanted her to be her mother, and she didn’t want to expect no as an answer.

Amira is a homeless dog living near the shelter. The owner of the shelter Muhammad Alaa Jaleel has been caring for Amira, as he can’t allow her live in the shelter with 80 cats for safety reasons.

When Alaa knew Amira was pregnant he allows her to live in his room to give birth, in the hopes of providing her with some comfort.

When Amira gave birth, a tragedy occurred: none of her babies survived.

“We were sad and concerned for her, so we gave her a plush teddy bear as she was really stressed.”

The kitten named Junior also lost her family like Amira and was a stray when Alaa found her and brought to the shelter.

Very soon Junior became a part of the shelter, befriending many cats living there. She also met Amira, who usually was outside the shelter entrance with one of her stuffed animals.

“She saw the dog’s teddy bear and went to play with it.”

Amira seemed not to mind, even letting Junior climb up on top of her.

“We saw them together and the kitten was riding her and she wasn’t worried. She even seemed to be smiling.”

Amira cones to the shelter many times a week and Junior welcomes her every time. Junior is different species and smaller, but Amira liked her. They play, eat and sleep together.
