During the birth a golden retriever Rae was severely wounded.
Thus, the dog had only one ear, and he started to look like a unicorn.
At the time when Rae was born, his mother bit him on one ear by accident.
The puppy was instantly carried to the closest vet facility and there he left.
The puppy was without one ear, although, in general he was in a good shape.
A vet facility employee named Brianna Voorhees made a decision to carry the pup to her home.
Not so long ago, this woman lost her favorite dog Loki suffering from cancer.
And there formed a strong connection between her and the newborn pup.
Bringing the newborn home, Brianna always looked after him: during a day she nursed the puppy from a bottle several times, checked his state, put the pup to sleep like a kid.
Nonetheless, the doctors did not explain what is the reason that this took place.
Since then, Rae has known as a „unicorn“.
„Everyone is wondering how one ear works, as it’s still so far from where the wave was. We don’t know the answer of this question. We just know it works,“ Brianna said.
Taking into account that Rae responds to his name as well as plain orders, there is no necessity to medical treatment.
As mentioned by vets, the pup’s ear hearing is well and it is not a discomfort for him at all.
In addition, this characteristic has made Rae a celebrity on the Internet.
