An unusual giraffe type, which people wanted to preserve
This beautiful giraffe was real, he wasn’t photoshopped. The 15-year-old amazing animal, whose skin looked as if it was whitened, has leucism. It’s a disease, that results in the loss of pigmentation.
She was captured in Tanzania by the Dr. Derek Lee, founder and scientist, that works at the Wild Nature Institute.
“He seems to get along well with the other giraffes, and has always been noticed with a large group of normally coloured giraffe- but they don’t mind her different colouring.
“We are trying to preserve giraffes and to give Omo and her relatives a better conditions to survive. We hope, that she lives a ling life and has her own babies.”
