In the relationship between man and dog, the latter does not pay attention to whether his owner lives in a manor or on the street, what his religion is, or what is the color of his skin.
Care, warmth, attention, as well as, respect are enough reasons to acquire a dog’s faithfulness. But even so, the majority of them are abandoned and left on the street as trash.
Today we will tell the story of a man with a heart of gold who made a decision to convert his life… and the life of many others.
It all began in 2008 the time when Sasha Pesic was coming back home after a lengthy day in the Serbian city of Nis and on the road, he came across four rejected puppies.
The scene touched his heart so much that even without financial means, he started to plan a way how to assist them. This small act of warmth, devotion, and solidarity became the start of what would finally make him one of the leading animal advocates in Serbia.
Together with 6 free wills, Sasha opened a haven in order to provide a home and food for all furry creatures indiscriminately.
It all occurs thanks to the investments and benefactions received from throughout the world. And if that wasn’t enough, he knows all their names, vaccinates them, purifies them, and even provided them with microchips for recognition.
Thankfully, an application signed by thousands of people led to authorities relenting, and while the case is far from being over, Pesic is thankful that his dogs still are provided with a home.
The haven is chock-full, as Sasha himself accepts, but anyway, he has no better solution.
“The issue is connected with the system and the corporations that should pay attention to this,” Sasha told Bored Panda. „They are battered as well as corrupted and do more harm than good.“
“Another issue is the unaccountable masters who reject taking care of their dogs and leave them on the street as soon as they stopped needing them. Causes are various such as „I have a kid and I am not able to take care of the dog“ to „I no longer need it „.
„There exists a lot of puzzlement and careless treatment of animals here that causes a lot of similar issues.“
“These dogs just are in need of some love, warmth, food, and care, many of them come to the haven sorrowful and frightened, but over time their joy will come back,” says Sasha proudly.
