All thanks to the guys: the dog wouldn’t survive on his own if those guys weren’t there

These boys were in the right place at the right time and helped to save the dog’s life.

In Lanus, Argentina, two boys were walking down the street when they saw something terrible: a dog completely covered in tar.

It is not clear whether the dog itself fell into the tar, or whether someone threw him in there and left him to die. It was obvious that the dog needed help, and he needed it as soon as possible to survive

The dog, barely able to move, was taken to Zoonosis Lanus, where volunteers began a 5-hour cleaning process to remove all of the tar.

“We bought a lot of things, looked at online tutorials, tried and tested all the products and their results,” volunteer Miriam Ortelado explained. “At first it was impossible to clean it, then we started using oil and it gradually worked, but we used five liters of oil.”

The dog was named Petro, the Spanish meaning of which is petroleum.

At first, veterinarians were frightened about the poisoning influence, as there was tar in the ears, nostrils, and even the intestines of the dog. However, Petro’s condition was getting better day by day.

According to the latest data, his rescuers reported that he will soon be neutered and will find a caring home evermore. Hopefully, this will be transformed into a brighter part of this little pup’s life.
