The passing of the iconic German supermodel from the 1990s saddened everyone
Here is one of the legendary supermodels from Germany who brilliantly starred in G. Michael’s «Freedom 90». The iconic woman, misfortunately, passed away at the age of 56 on 11 January. The cause of her premature departure was her breast cancer.
The supermodel started her drizzling career in the modeling business in 1983 being a well-deserved finalist in the Elite Model Look competition. She has long been regarded one of the original supermodels in the world.
It is worth mentioning that Patitz appeared on the cover of Vogue magazine six times and, according to Vogue Global Editor A. Wintour, she truly was a symbol of European chic.
In the course of her successful career, she achieved incredible heights working alongside with such legendary models as N. Campbell, L. Evangelista , C. Crawford and many others.
The photo titled «fairly godmother of Patitz’s career» was taken by talented photographer P. Lindbergh in 1988.
Peter addressed his touching words to the late supermodel.
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Tatjana Patitz, a long-time friend of Peter’s.
We would like to salute Tatjana’s kindness, inner beauty and outstanding intelligence.
Our thoughts go to her loved ones and particularly Jonah. She will be immensely missed. https://t.co/VGjAhLyC2C— Peter Lindbergh Foundation (@peterlindbergh) January 11, 2023
